Daugerdas’s commitment to academic excellence began early on. He completed his high school education at St. Laurence High School in Burbank, Illinois, graduating with honors in 1968. He then pursued his higher education at De Paul University, where he achieved remarkable milestones. In 1972, he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with honors from De Paul University’s College of Commerce. Paul also received his CPA Certificate from the University of Illinois in 1972.Continuing his academic journey, he earned a Juris Doctor degree with honors, cum laude, from De Paul University’s College of Law in 1974.

Career History

Daugerdas’s professional journey is marked by numerous significant roles in esteemed organizations across the financial, legal, and accounting sectors. He began his career as a staff member at Arthur Andersen & Co. then a manager, and finally became a partner in 1984. Where he held various key positions from 1974 to 1994. The expertise in M & A was as member of the Mergers, Acquisitions & Reorganizations Tax Specialty Team. As Head of the Central Region Financial Markets Team, he oversaw both tax and audit personnel dealing with financial markets – commodities, futures, stocks, bonds, swaps, and a variety of over-the-counter financial instruments & products. He also served as the head of the Chicago Office “On Call” Team and was a member of the Financial Valuation Services Specialty Team during his tenure at Arthur Andersen & Co.

In 1994, Daugerdas joined the Law Offices of Altheimer & Gray as a partner, taking on the role of Head of the Tax Department and becoming a valuable member of the Steering Committee. From 1999 to 2002, he served as a Shareholder/Partner at the Law Offices of Jenkens & Gilchrist, managing the Chicago office and co-directing the Tax Practice. He further demonstrated his business acumen as a member of the Management Advisory Committee during his time at Jenkens & Gilchrist.

In 2003, he embraced a new endeavor as a consultant and managing director at Treasurex Financial, where he provided his expertise until 2014.
